An internationally coordinated effort, born from GO2NE and endorsed as an action of the UN Ocean Decade within the GOOD programme, to build an open-access Global Ocean Oxygen Database and Atlas: oxygen measurements from the coastal and open ocean and from all observing platforms, brought together with community-agreed metadata and documented quality control, FAIR by design, to assess and predict deoxygenation and ocean health. I am first author of the GO2DAT roadmap paper (Frontiers in Marine Science, 2021).
