Copernicus Marine Services with Enhanced Data Assimilation and Improved Interoperability
A Horizon Europe project bringing together the Copernicus Marine forecasting centres to modernise and harmonise data assimilation: multiscale, non-Gaussian and AI-based methods, the assimilation of new satellite observations (Sentinel-3 reflectances and next-generation altimetry, Copernicus Imaging Microwave Radiometer brightness temperatures) and shared diagnostic tools, demonstrated in operations across global and regional seas. I am Co-Principal Investigator for the University of Liège.
